Brunei Darussalam's 26th National Day celebration this year saw the active participation of all parties involved, playing their part in ensuring the success of the auspicious event. Such displays of patriotism were lauded in an appreciation dinner held by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, last night. The function took place at the Jerudong Polo and Riding Club.
More than 20 thousand people and 109 teams participated in this year's mass gathering and procession. The Permanent Secretary One at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Paduka Haji Jemat bin Haji Ampal as the Co-Secretary of the Executive Committee of Brunei Darussalam's 26th National Day celebration, in his speech, expressed appreciation on behalf of his Ministry to all parties involved in the success of the National day celebration on the 23rd. of last month.
Presenting the appreciation certificates was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Ahmad. Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Badaruddin as well as members of the State Legislative Council.
