01/05/2019  Brunei DST Super League 2018/2019, MS ABDB Creates History with 4th Consecutive Win



Brunei DST Super League 2018/2019, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council, MS ABDB created history by winning this season's League Cup for the 4th consecutive time.  The Super League came to a close last night with the final match between MS-ABDB and Kota Ranger FC, the Champion of the 2018 / 2019 FA Cup. The match took place at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.


Kota Ranger FC in the yellow jerseys had the opportunity to take the lead in the 2nd minute.  But the goal was disallowed by the referee because the ball was offline.  In the 38th minute, Kota Ranger was gifted with a penalty after Muhd Asyraffahmi Norsam was brought in the penalty.  He converted the kick into goal. Bad weather forced the second half to be stopped following an agreement among the organisers and the two teams, because the result would not have changed the League standings. 


Prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.  Ghe season's Top Scorer was Kasuka FC's Muhd Hanif Aiman Haji Adanan who scored 17 goals.  Muhd Asyraffahmi Norsam of Kota Ranger FC who named the League's Best Player and IKLS FC was given the Fairplay award.   The second place this season was won by Wijaya FC, while Kasuka FC was third.  As the League Champions, MS ABDB received the Challenge Trophy, accompanying trophy, medals and 15 thousand dollars cash prize.
