The Mass Fardu Subuh Prayer Program every Friday at all mosques, surau and religious halls nationwide continued yesterday. The program was conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs towards seeking blessings during Ramadhan. In the Brunei Muara District, the program was focused at the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Menteri and the Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampung Sungai Kebun.

 

Among the congregants was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.  The programme included a Tadabbur Al-Quran delivered by Awang Hilman bin Haji Salim, Assistant Lecturer at the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College.  The Tadabbur explained that Al-Quran Al-Karim is a Kalamullah which is Allah's commands and is a revelation bestowed upon Prophet Muhammad SAW.  This is the main source of Islamic teachings and the main reference for muslims on earthly life and the hereafter.  Also present were Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma'awiah, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; Awang Haji Mohd. Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Awang Haji Amiruddin bin Haji Mohammad Hassan, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence.

 

Meanwhile the program held at the Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Kampung Sungai Kebun, was attended by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.  The Tadabbur Al-Quran was delivered by Awang Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abd Rahman, Senior Religious Officer, Islamic Dakwah Centre.  He explained that Al-Quran Al-Karim is a miracle and spiritual teachings from Allah Subhanahu Wataala.  Also present was Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
