03/12/2019  Country's Weather Is Expected To Be Indirectly Influenced By the Tail-End Effect of Typhoon 'KAMMURI'



Brunei Darussalam is currently in the Northeast Monsoon season which will normally last until March. According to the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, Typhoon 'KAMMURI' is observed over the Philippines, and is expected to move north westwards in the next 24 hours. According to Dayang Nurulinani binti Haji Jahari, Meteorological Officer, the country's weather is expected to be indirectly influenced by the tail-end effect of Typhoon 'KAMMURI' in the next few days.


She added that gusty showers at seas are expected and may occasionally spread to coastal areas. Meanwhile, sea state is expected to be rough with waves reaching up to about 3 metres.
