The Singapore Premier League Football Championship will open its curtain end of this month and once again will see the participation of Brunei DPMM FC as the defending champion. In this regard, the signing contract ceremony for players and sponsors was held at the Centre Point Hotel in Gadong, yesterday afternoon.
The signing was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. This season campaign, Brunei DPMM FC will retain its two main import players, Andrei Varankau from Belarus as striker and Charlie Clough from Australia as a defender. DPMM FC also brought in Emerson Jose Da Conceicao from Brazil as the mew import player, who fill the goalkeeper's position, replacing Blake Ricciuto. The ceremony ran concurrently with the launching of Brunei DPMM FC New Jersey for 2020 season. Brunei DPMM FC's first match will take place on the 29th of this month against Home United at the Bishan Stadium, Singapore.
