The Minister of Health once again stressed upon and reminded business owners and staff of business premises to adhere to the Ministry of Health directives, as well as continue to carry out their respective social responsibilities and enculturate COVID-19 preventive measures at the respective business premises.
The reminder was issued after three food premises were found NOT adhering to the directives issued by the Ministry of Health in a recent Operasi Merati. The Ministry of Health through the Health Enforcement Unit conducted the operation targeting business premises especially restaurants, food stalls and food courts. The operation at a business center in the capital inspected 21 food premises. The operation found three out of 21 business
Premises did not comply with the directives issued such as not providing body temperature check before entering the premise; food handlers not wearing face mask and no social distancing measures in place at the premises. The companies were issued compound fines by the Health Enforcement Unit.
The Ministry of Health highlighted that is important to obtain the BruHealth QR code specific to the premises and then print the QR code and place it at the premises for customers to scan before entering and leaving the premises; conducting temperature checks on the customers before they enter the premise; and ensuring that customers comply with the guidelines of social distancing; while practicing hygiene measures within the business premises.
