Pencak Silat will start to put into practice new regulations which is more open for upcoming competitions. The new regulations were agreed upon and signed by 4 main countries namely Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Yesterday afternoon, the Brunei Darussalam National Pencak Silat Federation, PERSIB, and the International Pencak Silat Federation, PERSILAT, held an online seminar which took place at the Sports School in Kampung Pulaie.
More than 50 individuals comprising members of PERSIB Executive Committee, National coaches, internationally certified wasit juries and coaches from Brunei Darussalam Teachers Associations participated in the seminar. Also participating was Pengiran Haji Abdul Karim bin Pengiran Haji Metassan, Vice President of PERSIB. The seminar aimed to widely disseminate the new regulations in pencak silat competition which are used worldwide.
