The World Health Organization, WHO reported a new record daily rise of confirmed coronavirus cases across the globe.

 

The WHO received the reports of 41 million 104 thousand 946 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide, including one million 128 thousand 325 deaths. The number of new infections increased by 423 thousand 819 in the past day, and 6 thousand 424 patients died in 24 hours. The United States has the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths. The country's cumulative count reached 8 million 404 thousand 528, including a death toll of 222 thousand 977 according to Johns Hopkins University. India's COVID-19 tally reached 7 million 706 thousand 946 after registering 55 thousand 839 more cases. The death toll surged to 116 thousand 616. Brazil's COVID-19 death toll reached 155 thousand 900 after 497 more patients died of the disease in the last 24 hours. Brazil's Ministry of Health said 24 thousand 858 more infections were reported, raising the nationwide count to 5 million 323 thousand 630.
