A total of 28 new COVID-19 cases arriving from outside the Chinese mainland were reported yesterday, with no new locally-transmitted infections detected across the mainland.
According to the National Health Commission, of the imported cases, 9 were reported in Shanghai and Guangdong Province each, 3 in Tianjin and Shaanxi each, 2 in Beijing and Fujian Province each. No new suspected cases or new deaths related to the disease were reported. Yesterday, 11 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery on the mainland, with 885 close contacts cleared from medical observation. A total of 254 imported cases are still undergoing medical treatment in the mainland, with 2 in severe condition. There were another 5 imported cases listed as suspected ones.
