The lively atmosphere of the Get-Together ceremony with citizens and residents of Tutong District was clear when His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam visited the special camps to mingle with Tutong residents. The solidarity displayed by the communities in Tutong District at the ceremony acted as the core in upholding the Monarch's leadership and sovereignty. Accompanying His Majesty at the Get-Together were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
The Get-Together ceremony is a golden opportunity for citizens and residents to express their gratitude and appreciation for the various developments achieved. Approximately 4 thousand Tutong District citizens and residents thronged the camps provided.
This year's ceremony was carried out in new normal to curb COVID-19 transmission.
The presence of thousands of citizens and residents in the district reflects their gratitude and undivided loyalty towards His Majesty. Amid the lively atmosphere, citizens and residents did not miss the opportunity to wish 'Happy Birthday' towards the Monarch.
Through His Majesty's wide leadership, citizens and residents in the country overcame various challenges successfully. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the country is still capable of providing various facilities to ensure the well-being of the country's citizens and residents.
Among those present was the Tiong Hwa community who also contributed towards the nation's economic growth. In appreciating His Majesty's care and attentiveness, senior citizens also expressed their gratitude for the facilities provided. Special needs children were also excited to be able to meet the Monarch who cares for the welfare and well-being.
Throughout His Majesty's reign, citizens and residents benefit from the nation's growth and development. For example, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF camp in Tutong District. The Monarch's presence also inspire the youth specifically in increasing their contribution and prepare themselves to assist and strengthen the core of the country's source of economy.
His Majesty then proceeded to Dewan Utama of the Tutong Civic Centre Complex for a Luncheon. Doa Selamat was read by Awang Haji Kaharudin bin Mohd Ali, Syariah Subordinate Court Judge in Tutong District.
His Majesty presence at such a ceremony will surely become an oral tradition for the citizens and residents in the district. The strong love between the Monarch and the people becomes the backbone in creating peace, stability and harmony in the country, and at the same time, acts as a symbol of solidarity as well as close cooperation.
