Uphold Harmonious Life to Ensure the Continuous Peace and Prosperity


His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah emphasises that Brunei Darussalam's citizens and residents should maintain and uphold the harmonious life of the country's communities to ensure the continuous peace and prosperity which future generations will inherit. Touching on the welfare and wellbeing of People With Different Abilities, His Majesty in the titah gives consent for the amendment of the Pension and Allowance For People With Special Needs Act and Regulation which will take effect on the 1st of January 2018.  His Majesty's titah in conjunction with the New Year of 2018 was broadcast by Radio Television Brunei earlier in the evening. In the titah, His Majesty also expresses gratitude to Allah the Almighty for blessings that enabled the implementation of most of the national plans last year. On the glorious moment of the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne, His Majesty expresses appreciation and thanks to all the parties directly or indirectly involved in making the Golden Jubilee celebration and all its events a great success.

His Majesty Outlines the Excellent Education Achievements


In the titah, His Majesty also outlines several excellent achievements in education, these include the success of Universiti Teknologi Brunei in achieving 4 stars in the overall QS assessment and the commencing of operations at the Leadership and Lifelong Learning Centre of the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA as well as the recent opening of the UBD-FPT Global Centre in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. His Majesty also highlights a number of government facilities provided in the socio-economic field, including the establishment of Bank Usahawan or the Entrepreneurs Bank which will begin operations in early 2018.
