Special Announcement by the Prime Minister's OfficeBy consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a special announcement by the Prime Minister's Office was aired on Tuesday, 23 Rejab 1447 corresponding to 13th January 2026. The special announcement was joined by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohamad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The special announcement began with the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.

Several Religious Events will be heldIn line with Islamic syariat that continuously seeks the guidance and protection of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence explained that religious events will be held to pray for Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala to bless His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam with health and well-being. On religious activities throughout the country, the Minister of Religious Affairs informed that to pray for His Majesty's immediate recovery, complete and lasting health and well-being, several religious events will be held involving the public, citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam.

National Level Isra' Mi'raj Celebration 1447 HijrahIsra' Mi'raj is a great event that Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala bestowed upon Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam. To commemorate the great event which falls on every 27th of Rejab, Brunei Darussalam will hold the National Level Isra' Mi'raj Celebration 1447 Hijrah on Saturday, 27th Rejab 1447 Hijrah corresponding to the 17th of January 2026, from 9 in the morning, at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre in Berakas. With the theme 'Sembahyang Teras Modal Insan Cemerlang', the celebration included the reading of Al-Qur'an verses, Tadabbur and recitation of selawat. It is jointly-organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Progresif Sendirian Berhad.

Launching of 'Ruqyah dan Doa Penyembuh' BookThe implementation of ruqyah or spiritual healing and modern medicine with clear guidelines can enhance treatment effectiveness and overall patient well-being. According to the Minister of Health, a balanced approach between spiritual and modern medicine also adds value to the national health system, such as reducing stigma towards mental illness and strengthening community and family support.
