However, in the context of modern life, hijrah refers to leaving behind things or actions that are forbidden by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. This was touched upon in the special talk at the Hijrah Walkathon event, “Minal Masjid Ilal Masjid." Held in conjunction with Ilal Hijrah 1448, the programme was organised by the Mukim Gadong 'A' Consultative Council in collaboration with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque, Kampung Rimba, and the Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Mosque, Kampung Tungku.
