Long Service Medal Presentation in conjunction with His Majesty's 79th Birthday CelebrationTo recognize and appreciate the services and contributions of officers and staff who have served for more than 20 years with the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a Long Service Medal, PKL Presentation Ceremony was held, to more than 240 officers and staff in the Prime Minister's Office and the Departments under it. The PKL presentation was held in conjunction with His Majesty's 79th Birthday Celebration. The ceremony took place at the Prime Minister's Office, 16th May afternoon.

Bir Ali is a Miqat Focal LocationBir Ali or Zulhulaifah continues to be a focal point for intending Haj and Umrah pilgrims before entering the Holy City of Makkah. Located about 11 kilometres from Madinah, the area is the miqat location for pilgrims who come from Madinah with the intention prior to putting on the ihram before continuing their journey to Makkah Al-Mukarramah. Bir Ali is also equipped with various facilities for the comfort of pilgrims who stop by before starting their pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
